01 / PROTECT YOUR PEOPLE

Real life doesn’t come
with a one-size-fits-all policy.

Your family, budget, and priorities should guide your coverage. Start with the basics, then compare the details with an agent.

FOR A SET PERIOD

Term life

Coverage for a defined term. Often a cost-effective starting point for income replacement and protecting a growing family.

What to know

Usually no cash value. Ask about level premiums, renewal costs, and conversion options before choosing a term.

FOR LIFELONG NEEDS

Whole life

Permanent protection with cash value and contractual guarantees, provided required premiums are paid.

What to know

Typically costs more than term for the same death benefit. Loans and withdrawals can reduce policy values and benefits.

FOR END-OF-LIFE COSTS

Final expense

Typically smaller whole life coverage that can help loved ones handle funeral costs, remaining bills, or other needs.

What to know

Some plans have a graded benefit or waiting period for nonaccidental death. Compare when full coverage begins, not just the premium.

FOR FLEXIBLE LONG-TERM PLANNING

Universal life & IUL

Permanent policies with flexible features. Indexed universal life uses an index-based formula to determine some interest credits.

What to know

IUL is not a direct investment in an index. Caps, participation rates, charges, and funding affect results. Charges can reduce value even with a 0% crediting floor; insufficient funding can cause lapse. Review guaranteed and nonguaranteed illustrations.

FOR THE HOME THEY LOVE

Mortgage protection

Life insurance selected to help your beneficiaries manage a mortgage if you die. Often built around a term policy.

What to know

This is a coverage purpose, not homeowners insurance or private mortgage insurance. Benefit amounts and recipients depend on the policy.

FOR SUPPORT WHILE LIVING

Living benefits

Certain riders may allow early access to part of the death benefit after a qualifying illness or condition.

What to know

Eligibility, costs, and definitions vary. Using an accelerated benefit generally reduces what remains for beneficiaries. These riders do not replace health insurance.

Availability depends on your state, eligibility, and the carrier. An agent can help explain which options apply to you.

02 / MORE CLARITY. BETTER DECISIONS.

We compare the options.
You see the bigger picture.

Access to multiple insurance providers helps us explore competitive pricing and different product features. The goal is coverage that fits your life and a premium you can sustain.

Comparisons are limited to carriers and products available through our appointed agents. No insurer is best for everyone, and the lowest premium is not guaranteed.

Talk through your options ↗
  1. Start with your needs.

Who depends on you? What would they need help paying? We consider your responsibilities, existing coverage, and budget.

  2. Compare beyond the price.

Review premiums, benefit amounts, underwriting, exclusions, guarantees, and optional riders side by side.

  3. Make an informed choice.

Understand the application and what happens next. Final rates and coverage are determined by the insurer.

WFGI
How much life insurance do I need?

Consider income your family would need to replace, debts, childcare, education, and final expenses. Subtract resources and existing coverage you expect to be available. Review both the amount and how long you need protection.

Can I apply with a health condition?

Yes. Carriers evaluate health histories differently. We specialize in helping clients find immediate coverage, subject to eligibility and policy terms. An agent can help explore available options, but approval and pricing depend on underwriting. If other options are unavailable, a guaranteed-issue policy may be a fallback, subject to age, state, and product eligibility. Some policies, including guaranteed-issue plans, have waiting periods or limited early benefits.

Will I need a medical exam?

No medical exam is required for the products we focus on. We prioritize options designed to provide immediate coverage for eligible applicants, subject to approval and policy terms. Certain policies, particularly those with large coverage amounts, may require an exam. Health questions or records may still be required, and no-exam coverage does not automatically mean guaranteed approval.

Will my premiums increase?

It depends on the policy. Many term policies keep the same premium during the initial level term, then increase if renewed. Whole life premiums are generally fixed when required payments are made as scheduled. Universal life and IUL policies can be affected by policy charges, funding, and performance, so the amount needed to keep coverage in force may change. Review the guaranteed values and premium schedule before choosing coverage.

Will my policy create cash value?

Term life generally does not build cash value. Whole life, universal life, and indexed universal life may accumulate cash value over time, depending on the policy’s guarantees, funding, credited interest, and charges. Loans or withdrawals can reduce cash value and the death benefit and may increase the risk of lapse or create tax consequences.
